GeoOp
Scheduling calendar
Analytics said job creation took three minutes on a simple form. Interviews revealed users were leaving the product to check staff availability — so we redesigned the workflow, not the form.
The signal
Creating a job took roughly three minutes, even though the form itself was short. The obvious move was to optimise the form.
The actual problem
Customer interviews showed users were leaving GeoOp to check staff availability elsewhere, then coming back to finish the booking. The form wasn't the bottleneck — the missing capacity view was.
What we built
- Unassigned job queue
- Staff availability and capacity view
- Drag-and-drop assignment
Outcomes
- Booking time reduced from ~3 minutes to ~30 seconds
- The calendar became a market differentiator
- Customers kept the page open throughout the working day
Redesigning the workflow instead of optimising the form.
